Welcome
I’m so glad you are here. Whether you are looking into gastric bypass surgery or have already had yours, you probably have questions about what happens in the long term. Many blogs talk about the first few years and then disappear. Many bloggers move on from their gastric bypass stories and on to other parts of their life. Some regain and decide to not continue their online journey. When I hit the 10 years mark I noticed that there were not a lot of long-term stories out there. Now that I am almost 20 years out, I thought it would be a good idea to show the long-term life, good and bad, after gastric bypass surgery.
About Me
On July 8, 2002, I had a Roux-en-Y gastric bypass. This entailed the cutting of my stomach to make a smaller stomach pouch about the size of an egg. At the time of my surgery, I was 474 pounds, down from an all-time high of 494 pounds.
To learn more about my journey and why I chose to have gastric bypass you can read more here. Meet Molly
